Coffaholic

It's only been like 36 hours since I cut the creamer from my coffee but I have not finished one of the three cups that I have made since yesterday. I just don't like it without my creamer. I think I may consider using regular liquid creamer sparingly, just to get the flavor. I am a coffaholic and I want it every day! *Insert tantrum here*

Have you dealt with something like this that you really enjoyed but had to change? I have the allowance in my calories daily but I was really trying to eat cleaner all around. Any suggestions on a good aspartame free flavored sweetener?

  1. on pinterest there is a recipe for homemade French vanilla creamer. I made it once. It was pretty good. Obviously not as good as the stuff that's bad for you. ;( I'm addicted to my coffee as well.

  2. A fellow blogger recently highly recommended stevia to me. Google it. Try it. I didn't want to use artificial sweeteners anymore, and want to cut back on regular sugar. Stevia does the trick, and I like my coffee and chai with it just fine.

I hope I remembered to thank her, now that I think of it...

    1. I actually just switched to Stevia from Splenda and I like it, its the creamer that I am having trouble giving up. :)

    1. Well, I bought Nestle Natural Bliss, Sweet Cream last night and it made the coffee drinkable but it was still missing that flavor that I wanted though. I think I am going to try the caramel flavor one next. Will keep you posted, although it will NEVER compare to the peppermint mocha. ;)

  5. If flavor is what you want you could try using half and half with a few drips of real vanilla. :)

I know coffee syrups do come sugar-free, but they are made with Splenda and you're not doing that anymore right? I'm with you that the SF ones just don't taste the same, but I quit using flavored creamers so long ago that I don't care for them anymore.

hhmmm...otherwise I don't know. I'm also a coffeeaholic and ended up switching from creamer to half and half a while back. Now I prefer half and half and just keep lite powdered creamer in the pantry in case I run out of liquid.

    Good luck!!

  6. It's tough, but I think it has to do with just sticking it out ... you'll eventually get used to it. You just have to survive the initial tough phase.
